The Monroeville Garden Club met on September 11, 2025, at the Monroeville Presbyterian Church at 1:30 p.m. Hostesses were Ree Smith and Kay Wilson.
President Charlotte Lambert opened the meeting with a review of the yearbook. Mistakes were corrected and missing information added. Members were encouraged to invite prospective members.
After the blessing, delicious refreshments served in buffet style from tables adorned with a gorgeous arrangement of hydrangeas and greenery were enjoyed: a beautiful array of pecan sandies, chewy brownies, lemon squares, cheese straws and crackers, vegetable plate and dip, tomatoes, chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, and ham and turkey croissant sandwiches. Water or tea were offered drinks.
To close the meeting, members drew numbers in order to pick from a delightful plant swap.
The next meeting will be October 9, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church. The program will be on "Fall Table Settings". (Submitted by Sammye Long)
