Trip to Bellingrath Gardens

Enjoying the Bellingrath trip were Emilie Martin, Martha Moorer, Laura Bodiford, Patsy Wadlington, and Charlotte Lambert.  We walked under magnificent live oak trees, smelled the roses and marveled at the mum displays.

Jeremiah Schmit, horticulturalist for the garden, answered our many questions and gave ideas for our home gardens.  In the fabulous rose garden, Vonnie Colf shared her skills for the growth and maintenance of the garden and some of those ideas will be brought back to the Katherine Lee Rose Garden.

We enjoyed a sandwich lunch in the cafeteria and browsed the gift shop.  Before heading back to Monroeville, we stopped at the Charles Phillips Emporium and were amazed at his treasures. (Submitted by Charlotte Lambert.)
