The main topic of discussion during the business session was the upcoming fund-raiser - a garden tour at the home of Thomas and Sarah Country on April 25th from 9:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. In addition to the tour, ticket holders will enjoy an assortment of finger foods and have the opportunity to shop the "Garden Boutique" . Tickets will be $10.00 and members are being asked to sell five tickets. Funds that are raised will be used in beautifying the city square.
Nikki Bayles, owner of My Happy Place shop, presented the program. She brought materials for each member to paint a sign for their own garden. Everyone enjoyed participating and each sign was unique.
After the signs were completed members enjoyed refreshments of Chicken Salad in Phyllo Cups, Valentine Snack Mix, Valentine's Day Krispy Treats, Chocolate Pound Cake with Whipped Cream and Strawberries, Pink Wafers dipped in White Chocolate with Sprinkles, and Valentine's Day Party Punch. The following members were in attendance: Evelyn Bond, Elba Bonham, Jean Booker, Bev Colquett, Dotsy Compton, Margaret Groves, Brenda Gardener, Pam Hindman, Carolyn Hutcherson, Dana Shinholster, Ree Smith, Gail Touchton, Patsy Wadlington, and Nancy Ziebach.
